I suggest you contact a mortgage broker immediately and talk to them. Since you have excellent credit, and you owned a house before you moved, they may pre-approve you for a loan at this point. If not, they will let you know how long you should wait.

Since you and your spouse have excellent credit and sold your home in Ohio, you can start the process now. I don’t see any reasons why you can’t. (Granted, I don’t know your income, debt to income ratio, debt to credit ratio, assets, liabilities, etc. - I’m just assuming everything is peachy keen!) Most lenders require that you be at a job 30 days before closing on a loan, but that isn’t any big deal. Any lender would just schedule the closing date after the magical 30 days has passed. Good luck!

it depends if you’ve remained in the same field. If you were in the same field but took an upgrade, you should be ok, but if you were an admin assistant and took the rn job it might be a little tougher. If you have the credit you say you do and you may have some cash from the sale of the home, you should be ok, a good mortgage broker can get this done for you. Depending where you relocated to, I may be able to refer some for you, good luck and happy hunting
